King here in 1892 and she died here in 1898. This came from a King genealogy and gave no ideas as to George’s folks. Sarah and the kids are here in 1910, and George has remarried and is with his new wife Henrietta in 1910 and 1920. Okay now, follow me on this one. In 1870, Aaron Jefferson and Jane Scott were here in Greenfield after coming over from Warren County. In that census Sarah was at the bottom at age 22 and the last listing was George A. age 2. Sarah was their daughter as shown in prior censuses. Both were missing or something in 1880, and now they are here in 1900. I’ll just bet Aaron’s daughter Sarah had a son, George Aaron, out of wedlock, and then decided to just say she was widowed and bring up George by herself. Ages for both are completely consistent. At least she is better than George was at parenting. He just turned over the two kids from his first marriage, and got on with his second marriage. Or, Sarah really was into raising kids.
